Dr. Bumanlog graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s in Biology and went on to earn his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Mercy College in 2017. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Glen Rock Physical Therapy Team and began working at the new office location in Waldwick in the Fall of 2020. Prior to becoming a physical therapist Dr. Bumanlog had extensive experience training and coaching combat sports athletes on both the amateur and professional levels. He has produced state, regional, and international muaythai kickboxing champions. He believes that each person is unique and his approach is to customize treatment plans that will get the person moving and feeling better – whether an athlete, a weekend warrior, or a person 70 years and up. He finds it extremely gratifying helping others restore their strength, mobility, and endurance so they can return to their daily routine, improve their performance, and meet/exceed their goals. Dr. Bumanlog has completed courses in Kinesio Taping, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), FMT RockPods Myofascial Cupping, and Mulligan Movement with Mobilization. Outside of the clinic Joe enjoys running, muaythai, strength training, and coaching.
