Paul Artale received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester with a concentration in Biology and Psychology in 1995. He then went on to graduate from the physical therapy program at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY and has been a licensed physical therapist since November 1999.
After graduating, Paul worked for 5 years at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY as both an inpatient and outpatient physical therapist. He left in 2004 to take a position as a center manager for a Kessler outpatient facility in Montvale, NJ before moving on to a privately owned practice in New Milford. During this time, Paul served as adjunct faculty at Mercy College, teaching Kinesiology and guest lecturing on various orthopedic topics including spinal manipulation.
Paul opened Glen Rock Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation in February of 2009 and in January of 2020, he opened Waldwick Physical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation.
Professionally, Paul has attended over 35 continuing education courses and is trained in Active Release Techniques (ART), Myofascial Release (MFR), Mulligan Mobilization with Movement (MWM), the McKenzie Approach and manipulation of both the spine and extremities. He has recently completed several courses in dance rehabilitation and is a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine & Science. Paul is recognized as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) and is a Certified FMS professional. He is passionate about his profession and over the past 2 years actively served as part of a Dry Needling Task Force to introduce legislation to change the physical therapy practice act to allow for Trigger Point Dry Needling in the state of New Jersey. When he is not working, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacey, two daughters, Angelina and Julianna, both of which are competitive dancers, and two dogs, Fetch and Tallie. He is an avid softball player, skier and musician, playing the drums since he was in the fourth grade.Back to Our Team
