
Tara Porfido graduated from The College of New Jersey in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Rutgers University in May 2018. Upon receipt of her DPT, Tara transitioned into a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Biomedical and Health Sciences. For her PhD research Tara investigates how the neck is involved in sport-related concussion risk and recovery. Tara serves as a teaching assistant for a concussion course at Rutgers University teaching physical therapy students the best practices for examination and treatment of sports-related concussion. Tara joined Glen Rock Physical Therapy in October 2019 as a part-time physical therapist. Outside of work Tara enjoys competing in local Crossfit competitions, playing recreational soccer, and indoor rock climbing.
